The Chairman, Kwara State Chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Abdulwaheed Bibire has assured Nigerians that the state is ready to host a hitch-free Triennial Delegates Congress of the association.
Bibire said this in a statement issued in Ilorin the Kwara State capital.
The statement which was signed by his Secretary, Olayinka Owolewa, said the state will ensure it organizes one of the best delegates’ congress in the history of the association.
It confirmed Wednesday, July 13, as the date for the Triennial delegates Congress.
It further stated that arrival of NEC members and Delegates is fixed for Tuesday, July 12, while SWANECO members are to arrive on Sunday, July 10.
Bibire explained that aspirants are expected on Monday, July 11.
Bibire also disclosed that the Congress will take place at the Kwara NUJ Press Centre, Opp. St. Anthony Secondary School, Offa Road.
He maintained that adequate security measures have been put in place for a successful and hitch-free Congress.
Contesting for the position of president at the forthcoming national election is South-south zonal vice president SWAN, Honour who has constantly stated his desire to promote professionalism and bring back dignity to the association.
