Tottenham have been handed the toughest draw of the five Premier League sides in the Champions League with holders Real Madrid and former winners Borussia Dortmund alongside them in Group H.

Both Manchester clubs and Liverpool will be licking their lips at favourable draws while Chelsea will also be expecting to progress with relative ease despite having to play Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid.

Celtic, meanwhile, have been handed a nightmare draw as they're tasked to face last season's runners-up Juventus and mega-rich PSG in Group B.

GROUP A

Benfica (Portugal)
MANCHESTER UNITED (England)
Basle (Switzerland)
CSKA Moscow (Russia)

GROUP B

Bayern Munich (Germany)
PSG (France)
Anderlecht (Belgium)
Celtic (Scotland)

GROUP C

CHELSEA (England)
Atletico Madrid (Spain)
Roma (Italy)
Qarabag (Azerbaijan)

GROUP D

Juventus (Italy)
Barcelona (Spain)
Olympiacos (Greece)
Sporting Lisbon (Portugal)

GROUP E

Spartak Moscow (Russia)
Sevilla (Spain)
LIVERPOOL (England)
Maribor (Slovenia)

GROUP F

Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukraine)
MANCHESTER CITY (England)
Napoli (Italy)
Feyenoord (Holland)

GROUP G

Monaco (France
Porto (Portugal)
Besiktas (Turkey)
RB Leipzig (Germany)

GROUP H

Real Madrid (Spain)
Borussia Dortmund (Germany)
TOTTENHAM (England)
Apoel (Cyprus)

Both Spurs and Liverpool were in danger of being handed troublesome draws being sat in the third pot of four but Jurgen Klopp will be delighted to have avoided Mauricio Pochettino's fate.

While Spurs face Dortmund, Cypriots Apoel and the might of Real - including former White Hart Lane heroes Gareth Bale and Luka Modric - Liverpool play Spartak Moscow, Sevilla and Slovenian champions Maribor.

In Manchester, Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho will be equally delighted.

Having been the on the receiving end of several tough draws in recent seasons City will be the overwhelming favourites to win their group as they face Shakhtar Donetsk, Napoli and Feyenoord.

United, meanwhile, arguably have it even easier with Benfica, Basle and CSKA Moscow standing in the way of progress to the last 16.
